The Horseshoe bend (= la courbe du fer à cheval) is the name for a horseshoe-shaped meander of the Colorado River located near Page, Arizona.
This view can be seen from the top of a cliff. It's even more beautiful at sunset, as you can see below:
Here is an aerial picture of the Horseshoe Bend, it was taken from a plane. You can clearly make out the horseshoe-shaped bend.
